Posted 8th May 2024 by Mr. T. Balaam
On Wednesday, 1st May, fifteen Year 7 students visited the hallowed halls of Cambridge University.
The visit was designed to inspire and motivate the students by exposing them to the rich, academic environment and historical significance of Cambridge University. It provided valuable insights into university life and opportunities for further education. Students had a tour of Homerton College in the morning, followed by a talk called 'An Introduction to Higher Education and the University of Cambridge'.
In the afternoon they went to the Cavendish Laboratory for a practical physics session, which was a team task centered on the Mars Rover Project.
The students were an absolute credit to Dixons and came home inspired by science and University life.
